Students from Parkside Collegiate Institute’s Special High Skills Major Program are taking orders for these custom made bike racks. The bike rack design accommodates between 2-4 bikes, which can be installed by bolting it into a concrete slab (8 bolts). An extended post version can be installed into the ground as a fence post with concrete. The bike rack is manufactured with steel construction and a black powder coat abrasion & corrosion resistant paint system normally used for outdoor playground equipment.
The specifications are as follows:
- Tubing to be 2'' O.D. X .120'' WALL ASTM A513/1 E.R.W. Tubing.
- Height of rack to be approximately 49''.
- “Wings” will measure 14” centreline to centreline.
- All bends to be done on a 3” centreline radius.
- Tubes will be bent and coped for seamed welding.
- End plates will be installed unless additional tube length is requested for direct cement installation.
- Basic text design service included for business names on centre plate.
- Gloss black powder coated finish.
The cost is $175 per rack, complete with a logo plaque.
