Get Active and Stay Healthy

Being physically active is important for your physical and mental health. Make it your goal to meet the physical activity guidelines and in doing so, it will help you maintain a healthy body weight, and decrease your risk of some chronic diseases such as: heart and stroke disease, hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes, osteporosis, arthritis, and cancers (colon and breast). Consult with your health care provider before you start any new physcial activity or increase the level of activity you have been doing.
